Free Friday: Peaches

It’s Free Friday! Every Friday, Barnes and Noble offers a Nook Book for free. These are often a way for you to get acquainted with a ‘new to you’ author. But you have to act quick because they often are available for only a day or two before they go back to full price!

Today you can pick up ‘Peaches’ by Jodi Lynn Andersen. This is a young adult contemporary romance, set in the south. It sounds like a cute story and as an added bonus, this edition has an excerpt from the author’s upcoming book, ‘Tiger Lily’, a retelling of Peter Pan! I love retold fairy tales! You can see reader reviews at Goodreads, where the book rates 3.64 stars. Here is the synopsis from Goodreads.

Peaches combines three unforgettable heroines who have nothing in common but the troubles that have gotten them sentenced to a summer of peach picking at a Georgia orchard.

Leeda is a debutante dating wrong-side-of-the-tracks Rex.

Murphy, the wildest girl in Bridgewater, likes whichever side Rex is on.

Birdie is a dreamer whose passion for Girl Scout cookies is matched only by her love for a boy named Enrico.

When their worlds collide, The Breakfast Club meets The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in an entirely original and provocative story with a lush, captivating setting.

You can pickup your copy now, but hurry; it may not be free for long.

Be sure to check that it is still a freebie before adding it to your cart!
