My August Reading Map

It time to update my Reading Map for August. This is like a road map of my reading journey. Each month I do a ‘check-up’ to help me see what I’ve accomplished towards my reading goals and to help me see what needs to be done next. Here is my August Reading Map!

I didn’t nearly as much as I’d hoped. I got most of my reading done, but I am behind in writing reviews! I partially attribute that to that fact that of the five books I DID get done, only one was less than 400 pages, and that one had well over 350. But even more, there were ‘thinking’ books; the kind that leave you with a ‘book hangover’ because you can’t stop thinking about the characters and you aren’t ready to move on to something new. And a book that induces book hangover is a GOOD thing, so I am not disappointed! Here is my revised reading map for August, showing where I’ve been….

Read
A Triple Knot by Emma Campion (TLC Book Tours)
Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty (Penguin First To Read)
All I Know and Love by Judith Frank (TLC Book Tours)
Necessary Lies by Diane Chamberlain  (book club selection)
Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld (Goodreads First Reads win - review coming)
This Is The Water by Yannick Murphy (TLC Book Tours - review coming)

Not Read
The Explanation For Everything by Lauren Grodstein (Library Thing Early Reviewer)

My reading map for August appears below. I am starting with the books I had on my list for July but did not get to, since I do want to read them. And as usual, I am adding more books than I think I can finish this month. These are not in any particular order and not all absolutely have to be finished and reviewed by the end of the month, but I am really going to have to push to get this done!

August Reading Map
The Explanation For Everything by Lauren Grodstein (currently reading - Library Thing Early Reviewer)
Cancel The Wedding by Carolyn Dingman  (TLC Book Tours)
The Chaperone by Laura Moriarty (book club selection)
The Virtues of Oxygen by Susan Schoenberger (TLC Book Tours)
The Agincourt Bride by Joanna Hickson (TLC Book Tours)
American Blonde by Jennifer Niven (Library Thing Early Reviewer)
The Girl Who Came Home by Hazel Gaynor

Do you have a ‘map’. If so, share it below in the comments. Maybe I’ll see something I want to add to my list!

  2. I have a list of books I wanted to read this summer and was so busy I only got one done. Some months I can really get quite a few read others not even one. I love the idea of a map though. May be something I have to incorporate into my life.
