Fall Books: Keep Calm and Read On!

Recently our library district hosted the “Keep Calm and Read On” Book Buzz Tour presented by Random House to introduce some of the books on the way. I was able to attend with two of my good friends. At the end of the presentation, everyone in attendence was able to choose a book to take home with us!

Here are some of the books that stood out to me! Looks like some good reading on the way!
  1. A Small Indiscretion: A Novel by Jan Ellison

  2. A Touch of Stardust: A Novel by Kate Alcott

  3. Empire of Sin: A Story of Sex, Jazz, Murder, and the Battle for Modern New Orleans by Gary Krist

  4. Everlasting Lane: A Novel by Andrew Lovett

  5. Hausfrau: A Novel by Jill Alexander Essbaum

  6. Leaving Time: A Novel by Jodi Picoult

  7. Like Water on Stone by Dana Walrath

  8. Some Luck: A novel by Jane Smiley

  9. Station Eleven: A novel by Emily St. John Mandel

  10. The Bishop's Wife by Mette Ivie Harrison

  11. The Book of Strange New Things: A Novel by Michel Faber

  12. The Girl on the Train: A Novel by Paula Hawkins

  13. Vanessa and Her Sister: A Novel by Priya Parmar

We had a great time! I’m hoping this will be a regular event! And if you are wondering what book I picked, I chose Some Luck: A novel by Jane Smiley!

  1. Nice use of riffle lists! :) This look like some great choices. I'm really looking forward to Vanessa and Her Sister and I've been hearing great things about Jodi Picoult from my sister for forever. I should really give one of her books a try.

  2. I haven't heard of most of these books but the covers are very pretty. I'm most interested in The Girl on the Train :)
