 Here’s my teaser!

Only a small sliver of light filtered through the stained-glass window, making it difficult for her to see in the otherwise dark room. As she stepped through the door, she at first did not see the small figure of a boy approaching her obscuring his eyes with his left hand. When she did finally see him, it was too late.

I saw this on a shelf in the library. I enjoy novels set in the era of Henry VIII, so I picked it up and brought it home!
