It’s time to do my monthly Library Checkout post! Library Checkout is hosted by Shannon at River City Reading. The purpose of the meme is to track our library check-outs, reads, and of particular interest to me, because I always have so many, our books on hold! I will be including both print books and ebooks. I love this idea of tracking, so let’s get started!

- The Quality of Silence by Rosamund Lupton
- The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd

- How To Archive Family Keepsakes by Denise May Levenick
- Pizza in Pienza by Susan Fillion

Added to Holds
- Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier
- Try Not To Breathe by Holly Seddon
- The Reason I Jump by Naoki Higashida
- Rise of the Rocket Girls by Nathalia Holt
I may be a little too liberal in my use of the library ‘hold’ list, adding interesting books whenever I see whether or not I have time to read them at the moment. Then I ‘freeze’ the holds; my library offers an option that allows me to keep moving up on the reserve list until I am first in line so that when I am ready, I have only a short wait until I can read the book.
I break my ‘holds’ list into two segments — the above list are books that I’ve added to my holds in the past month. The list below are books that have been on my holds list for over one month, sometimes because there are a lot of people are in line ahead of me, but more often because I’ve frozen my hold.
STILL On Hold
- The Other Widow by Susan H. Crawford
- The Rivals of Versailles by Sally Christie
- Glory Over Everything by Kathleen Grissom
- Flight of Dreams by Arial Lawhon
- The Stargazer’s Sister by Carrie Brown

- The Swans of Fifth Avenue by Melanie Benjamin
- The Hours Count by Jillian Cantor
- Neurotribe by Steve Silberman
- The Case of Lisandra P by Helene Gremillon

Your turn... What’s your current status with your local library? Post it on your blog, and share the link on Shannon’s post here.
Good luck with all your books. I recently got a library card, and I've been using the ebooks.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have some great books checked out! I thought Mr. Penumbra's Bookstore was so fun (and the cover glows in the dark to boot!)
ReplyDeleteMy library lets me freeze my holds too, I end up using that feature when I get a bit carried away. I just heard about the Rise of the Rocket Girls today and it sound fascinating!
ReplyDeleteDid you enjoy Atomic City? I thought it was so interesting! And I loved The Stargazer's Sister so will be curious to see what you think when you get it.
