2016 Nonfiction Reading Challenge

Nonfiction Reading Challenge hosted at The Introverted Reader
I am going to try a new challenge this year and it dovetails nicely with one of my 2016 bookish goals — the Nonfiction Reading Challenge hosted by The Introverted Reader. I’d already decided I want to try fitting more nonfiction reading in. Even though I enjoy nonfiction, and I have a long list of books to get to, I seldom actually read nonfiction. This is sometimes due to overcommitting myself for reviews, but it is also because I often choose to read for entertainment. The challenge requirements are relatively simple. Choose a level and read nonfiction — any type of nonfiction — then review it and link your reviews. The hard part will be scheduling time to read my nonfiction and then actually remembering to link my reviews!

Here are the levels to choose from:

  • Dilettante--Read 1-5 non-fiction books
  • Explorer--Read 6-10
  • Seeker--Read 11-15
  • Master--Read 16-20

I am starting small. I really hope to read at least one nonfiction book a month, but I want to ease into it. So I will try the Explorer lever, 6 - 10 books. That means if I read nonfiction every other month AND remember to review it AND remember to link my reviews….I’m good!

Your turn! Do you read nonfiction? If so, consider adding this to your challenge list. You can find the sign-up post here.
